CLIMBING SCHOOL, WATER SCHOOL PROGRAMMES AND OTHER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
- Guiding on tourist paths in national parks High Tatras and Low Tatras
There will be guide with specialise explanation about interesting places for groups (school trips, pensioner groups, colleeges from work, or other groups) The guide will choose the most suitable possibility of the trip and he will secure safety return from the trip. These touristic paths require suitable clothes, shoes and other equipment, we recommend to meet your guide before trip, where will be participants of the trip familiared with the claim of the trip, or the guide will choose another trip according to their equipment. - Guiding in gorges in national park Slovak Paradise
Movement in gorges in Slovak Paradise is difficult (ladder, wooder or iron steps), people are often injured in this locality. The guide will secure safety movement with his advices and special help (fixed children and pensioners with rope) in the gorges and he will also secure safety return with the whole group. There is also a special offer of climbing in the locality Tomašovký výhľad (Thomas view), but only for more efficient participants, because the level of dificulty is from number IV. up in this locality. For less efficient ones we recommend climbing on the locality called Drevenik nearby Spiš Castle. It is very atractive to visit these gorges during winter (nice icefalls), but with suitable equipment or also you can do crosscountry skiing on the frozen river Hornad, which flows through this national park – Slovak Paradise. - Rafting on the rivers (Dunajec, Poprad, Váh, Čierny Váh, Hornád, Hnilec)
We can offer rafting, cayaking, canoeing on these rivers. But these crafts can be used only by trained people, that´s why it is good before this action to have training in Poprad, on the river or on the pond, or on the dam Ružín nearby Margecany (70 km from Poprad), or on the river Dunajec, where we organize Summer school of canoying each year in July. - School of Canoying on the pond in Poprad or on the river Poprad or on the dam Ružín
For beginners we do school of canoying on the pond (only until 31. May) and on the river Poprad (the whole summer) by dockyard in Poprad. Dockyard has a wall, where climbers train from the surrounding of Poprad. There is also possibility to sleep in the dockyard (it is nessesary to have sleeping bag) or sit by the fire. There are better conditions with accomodation in dockyard in Margecany, where we can offer 9 beds, kitchen with equipment, sitting under shelter and there is also meadow for tenting. It is necessary to order it soon, because it is often full during summer holidays. It is situated 70 km from Poprad. The shape of the dam is like wide canadian river with meandres and it is surrounded with nice well-preserved nature, and the shores are visited only by fishers. The section of 12 km is without roads, without hotels…We recommend to visit this place in May, June and September, October, because it is more quite, there are not so many people here and the mushrooms are growing (first we found in 23 May). You can pick up mushrooms from the boat.
- Climbing school for teams, but also for families with children
Climbing belongs to the group of sports, where it is necessary to hold on safety rools. It is good to learn these rools from instructor of climbing school. Tomašovský výhľad in Slovak Paradise is for more efficient climbers. It is possible to connect the training in Drevenik (travertin rocks with lots of small holes) with visiting Spiš castle and church in Žehra or visiting 120 m long ice cave.
The old stone-pit in Tatranská Kotlina is suitable for training rappeling, but there are also 3 ways good for beginners (the level of difficulty is until number IV.).
